Privacy Policy

Effective October 6, 2026

TrafficScent (trafficscent.com, the "Service") protects your personal data in line with Korea's Personal Information Protection Act and other applicable laws. The Service needs no account and processes only the data it needs. This policy explains what data we process, why, for how long, and how you can exercise your rights.

This English translation is provided for convenience. If it differs from the Korean version, the Korean version prevails.

1. Data we process, why, and for how long

Inquiries and suggestions (Contact form)
Data Inquiry type, message, email address (optional), IP address, browser information (User-Agent)
Purpose Reading and answering inquiries, preventing spam and abuse
Retention One year from receipt
Repeat-submission limit
Data IP address
Purpose Blocking inquiries sent repeatedly in a short time
Retention Deleted automatically after one hour
Posts and comments
Data Nickname (optional), the text you write
Purpose Publishing the post or comment (visible to everyone)
Retention Until you ask us to delete it
Visiting the website
Data Access logs such as IP address, time of access and browser information
Purpose Delivering the website, blocking security threats
Retention Processed by our host (Cloudflare); the Service does not store them

Data is collected when you type it into the contact form or the post and comment fields, and is generated automatically when you visit the website.

Enter an email address only if you would like a reply. You can send an inquiry without one, but then we cannot answer it.

The display language you choose is stored only in your browser (localStorage) and is never sent to our server.

2. Deletion of data

Data is deleted without delay once its retention period ends. Inquiry records are deleted from the database automatically one year after receipt, and the inquiry emails in the operator's mailbox are deleted after the same period.

Electronic data is deleted in a way that cannot be recovered. The Service keeps no personal data on paper.

Where another law requires data to be kept, it is stored separately for that period and then deleted.

3. Sharing with third parties

The Service does not provide your personal data to third parties, except with your consent or where the law specifically requires it (such as a lawful request from an investigative authority).

4. Processors and international transfers

We entrust the processing of personal data to the companies below to run the Service. Their servers are outside Korea, so personal data is transferred abroad.

If you do not want your data transferred abroad, please do not use the contact form; we will then be unable to answer you. Visiting the website always goes through Cloudflare's network, so the processing of access logs cannot be refused.

5. Cookies and advertising

The Service itself does not use cookies.

The Service may show ads through Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites.

Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. The browsing data collected this way is collected and kept by Google under Google's policies.

  • You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings.
  • You can opt out of third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info.
  • You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. You can still use the Service, and ads may then be shown regardless of your interests.

Learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services on Google's policy page.

6. Your rights and how to exercise them

You may at any time ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, or to stop its processing. You may also ask us to delete posts or comments you wrote.

Send requests to contact@trafficscent.com. We may ask for simple details, such as the email address you used for an inquiry, to confirm it is you, and we will tell you the outcome within 10 days of receiving the request.

A legal representative or a person you authorize may also make a request for you.

7. Security measures

  • All traffic is encrypted with HTTPS.
  • Personal data is kept in a cloud database with restricted access that only the operator can reach.
  • Inquiries sent repeatedly in a short time are limited to prevent spam and abuse.
  • Only necessary data is processed, and it is deleted without delay once its retention period ends.

8. Children

The Service is not directed at children under 14 and does not knowingly collect their personal data. If we learn that data of a child under 14 has been collected, we delete it immediately; a legal guardian can request deletion at contact@trafficscent.com.

9. Privacy contact
